Welcome to Evergreen

A charming mountain town with a strong community and outdoor fun

Evergreen is an unincorporated community in Colorado. Named after the evergreen trees surrounding the town, Evergreen is a beautiful, forested community in the Rocky Mountains. The charm of Evergreen doesn’t stop at the views of mountains, canyons, and meadows either. Evergreen is the home of the Evergreen Lake, surrounded by the 55-acre Evergreen Lake Park. Often referred to as the “recreational jewel of Evergreen,” this lake is a staple in the community year-round. The green and yellow flora, the evergreen trees, and the Rocky Mountains reflecting off of the lake leave a warm, lasting memory of the picturesque Evergreen, Colorado.

Unlike most mountain communities, Evergreen has an established downtown area, and its personality is nothing short of impressive. With coffee shops, bistros, restaurants, and fine arts and crafts, downtown Evergreen has everything a resident can hope for. Accessing Evergreen is simple with the Denver Regional Transportation District’s bus and rail system running through the community. The community is also accessible by the two major roads of Highway 73 and Highway 74.

Things to Do

Evergreen is a wonderful, artistic community that loves to showcase its talent. Evergreen holds its annual
Summerfest to feature the arts and crafts created by the community throughout the year. Hosted by the Center of Arts Evergreen, the festival brings in thousands of visitors to enjoy this community event. The Evergreen Summerfest is held at Buchanan Park where there is art, crafts, live music, craft beer and wine, and food. This festival is a perfect family-friendly event to enjoy with the kids. And the famous Little Bear is one of the favorites for nightly live music and dancing.

Every year in July, Evergreen hosts its Jazz Festival, but it’s not the typical festival with speakers blasting sounds from one stage. Evergreen’s Jazz Festival is three days of jazz music in four intimate venues where the audience can connect with the musicians and appreciate the ensembles up-close.
